Ramadan-ul-Mubarak
Treat and consider the month of Ramadan as a month of blessings and edit.
(Saheeh Bukhari, Saheeh Muslim)
Keep fast for the entire month of Ramadan. Fasting is obligatory in the month of
Ramadan.
(Surah: Baqarah, Verse: 185)
During the month of Ramadan, offer 11 rikaats of salaat, at any time in between
the salaat of Iesha and the dawn. Offering of night salaat, with a spirit of
faith and accountability, during the month of Ramadan results in forgiving of
all the sins of the past.
(Saheeh Bukhari, Saheeh Muslim)
Go for "Aitkaaf" in the last ten days of Ramadan. Get ready and resolved for
worship of Allah. Awake during the nights, and also keep awake members of one's
own family.
(Saheeh Bukhari, Saheeh Muslim)
It is better to go for aitkaaf in the second ten days, or the last ten days of
Ramadan.
(Saheeh Bukhari)
If, due to travelling, unable to "sit in aitkaaf", then during the next Ramadan,
"Sit in aitkaaf "for twenty (20) days.
(Nasai, Abu Dawood, Sanad Saheeh)
If, due to any reason, is unable to complete the aitkaaf in the last ten days of
Ramadan, then go for aitkaaf in the last ten days of Shawwal month.
(Saheeh Bukhari)
In the last ten days of Ramadan there is a night called as "Lailatul Qadr" or
"Lailatul Mubaraka" (The sacred night of blessings). Worshiping in this night
alone is better and more virtuous than worshiping of one thousand nights. This
night ought to be sought from amongst the odd nights of the last ten days of
Ramadan, that is not to sleep, and awake in the five nights and worship Allah.
By offering salaat during this night, with a spirit of faith (Iemaan) and
accountability, all the sins, committed in the past, are granted pardon by
Allah.
(Saheeh Bukhari)
While in Lailatul Qadr, recite this supplication:

Translation: O, Allah! Indeed You are the One who grants pardon, likes
those who forgive: forgive me.
(Tirmizi, Sanad Saheeh)
If, due to clouds on 29th, the moon is not sighted, then keep fast on 30th of
Ramadan. Just an account of doubt and suspicion, not leave fasting.
(Saheeh Muslim)
Requital for performing Umrah in Ramadan is equal to that for performing hajj.
(Saheeh Bukhari, Saheeh Muslim)
