As Salaam u alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu, I am Akbar Ali, from India, I am In Chennai, Alhamdulillah with your grace, I had given Dawah to one of My Uncle who is from Jamaat Ahle Quran wal Hadees. I have tried my level best to make him Understand about our Jamaat i.e. Jamaat ul Muslimeen. He has asked me few Questions which I could not Understand or may be I could not reply. 1) Prophet SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam has said that: the best period of Islam is when I am present and then my Khalifahs, i.e.. 4 Khalifahs Abu Bakr (RadiAllahu Anhum), Umar (RadiAllahu Anhum), Usman (RadiAllahu Anhum), and Ali (RadiAllahu Anhum). At the period of Umar Radi Allah only people i.e. Muslims used to call him Ameer ul Momineen. so should not the jamaat be called Jamaat ul Momineen? 2) Even Wives of Prophet were called Ummul Momineen then the Jamaat should be also called Jamaat ul Momineen?
3) Prophet SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam has said that in every (Zamana)
Century there will be a jamaat who would be on HAQ. "ek jamaat har
zamaane mein HAQ par rahegi" so till now we have not heard of Jamaat ul
muslimeen ? IF it was present at the time of Prophet and at the time of
Sahabas then where was it from last 400 years why did it get disappear ?
when Prophet has told that it will be present? Q7. Were Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim in Jamaat ul Muslimeen? Give proof. Q1. Is it necessary for a believer to call himself Muslim only? What about the other names which are common among the followers of Islam?Allah, the Almighty has given all believers one religious name and that is Muslim. The Quran states in Chapter 22 Verse78: "Allah has named you Muslimeen, both in this (Quran) and also (in the books) before it". When any person who believes in Allah comes to know that his Creator has given him a religious name, then his faith demands that he identifies himself with the same name. Other names which are common among this Ummah Have Not Been Revealed By Allah but they are invented names which have divided this Ummah into sects and groups. For more info regarding sectarianism and Firqa's please see pages 14-16 of our booklet "The Invitation to Haq". Q2. If sectarianism is not allowed in Islam then why was another sect by the name of Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen introduced?
Allah, the Almighty has ordered all Muslims to remain united and to keep
aloof from sectarianism and Firqa's. The jamaat or group which existed at the time of the holy prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) was definitely not a
sect because Allah's messenger (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) cannot indulge in sectarianism while preaching against it. And this jamaat which
existed at the time of the holy prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) had the religion of Allah in all it's purity as it's agenda. It was
a jamaat which was named by the holy prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam). It's duty was to preach pure
Islam without the innovations and Bida't that have now made Islam a mixture of Man's own understanding and Fiqh. And the name of this
particular jamaat was Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen. The holy prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) once said:
Women should also take part with Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen in their Eid prayers. (Sahih Bukhari,
Kitab-ul-Eidein) Since this question regarding women offering Eid prayers was asked at
the time of the holy prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam), then quite clearly the name of the jamaat which was led by the holy prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) was Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen only. This jamaat was definitely not a sect like the sects of today. Hence,
what Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen has done is that it has brought to life a Sunnah which was all but forgotten. The Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen of today
follows the same principles which have been taught by Allah and His messenger the holy prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam); this
Jamaat is far from
sectarianism and it has no connection to any sect. So, Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen is not a new sect but it is the only jamaat
regarding which the holy prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) said: "Stick To
Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen And It's Imam (Leader); Stay Away From All Sects."
Q3. Why Was Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen Formed?
Islam lays great stress on the subject of unity and Muslims have been ordained to stay united in their efforts for the propagation of the ultimate religion-Islam. Allah says in the Quran: 1. And hold fast all of you together to the rope of Allah and do not separate. (Aale-Imran:102) 2. Who is better in speech them he who invites towards Allah, practices righteous good deeds and says that I am from the Muslimeen. (Fussliat: 33) 3. Allah has chosen for you a religion and may you not die save as Muslims. (Al-Baqarah: 132) 4. Say: I have been ordained to be one from among the Muslimeen. (An-Naml: 91) The prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) said: 1. Stay united and do not dissent. (Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim) 2. Do not dissent because the people before you dissented and perished. (Ref. as above) 3. Stick to Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen and its Imam.........Stay away from all sects even if you have to live upon roots of Trees and have to die in such a state. (Ref. as above) There are many more verses and traditions which lay stress on unity, calling oneself Muslim only, staying aloof from sects and adhering to Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen; it is because of this that Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen was restarted and not formed, while all sects and firqas besides Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen were formed and innovated afterwards. This is to say that Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen was the only jamaat in the days of the prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) and there were no sects or firqas at that time (Sahih Bukhari). For more information about this article. Q4. What if everyone named their group Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen?Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen is only a name with no real meaning to it. Is their any other feature of Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen, which is not present in any other sect? Islam has invited all believers to unite and remain as one jamaat and not to dissent. Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen is the only way believers can be united because it is the solution given by Allah and His prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam). No other sect can prove its existence at the time of the prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam). Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen was restarted in Pakistan a long time ago and it is against the teachings of Allah and His prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) to form another jamaat even it is by the same name. This is because this can also lead to dissension and disunity. It is not allowed in Islam even to have two Ameer's (Khalifa's) simultaneously, so how can it be that the believers form two different jamaat's. The prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) said: When the oath of allegiance (bai'at) is taken at the hands of two Imams then kill the latter. (Sahih Muslim). This clearly means that there is no room in Islam for two different jamaat's or ameer's. Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen is not only limited to a mere name; in fact, it follows Islam in all it's purity and that can only be found in Quran and Hadeeth. We invite all those who have any reservations regarding Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen's belief, actions or any other subject are invited to study our books in detail and also check our activities in the light of Quran and Sunnah. For details regarding the distinguishing features of Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen please follow the link on our web site's main page. Q5. Is it correct to follow different imams and their Fiqh their verdict is contradictory to one another and is at times also against Islam Please answer with proofs from Quran and Hadeeth only. The proofs of the authenticity of Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen have been mentioned and we have asked for the same kind of proofs for the existence of sects and firqas i.e., is there any commandment from Allah or His prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) that This Ummah should follow four Imams and obey all of them even there may exist differences between the teachings of these Imams which include differences of Halal and Haram if one Imam says that a particular things is Halal and the other says it is Haram who should we follow? and what is the status of the person who does not follow the other persons Imam? This is to say that if a person is not Hanafi then is he in Islam or not? If he is in Islam and surely hi is then it means that it is not necessary to follow Hanafiat. These sectarian divides have taken us away from the deen of Allah, which states: Follow that which has been revealed upon you from Allah and do not follow any other friends beside it. Little do you recollect! (Al-Araf: 3) The prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) said:
I am leaving behind two things, if you follow them you
will never astray. These are Allah's Book and the way of his prophet (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam). Thus, we should follow the Quran and Sunnah only and nothing else. We respect the Imams but his respect should never be more that what is allowed by Allah. These Imams never asked us to form sects in their names like people have done today. In fact, they said: 1. If my Fatwa is against Quran and Hadeeth then dump it. 2. Sahih Hadeeth is my Religion. 3. Do not follow us blindly but take from where we have taken (Quran and Hadeeth). So, we are the ones who follow these Imams while the Muqallideen are disobeying their own Imams. Q6. As Salaam u alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,
